Last weekend for People’s Assembly for Nature. The first of its kind: 110 people reflecting diversity of UK deciding on a people’s plan for nature. Independent, objective, candid, passionate, powerful. Can’t wait to see what the plan looks like when it’s published in March.

Global oil companies are reporting 2022 as their most profitable year in history. Meanwhile, the planet continues to burn as household budgets shrink. We must change course. The only credible direction to take is away from fossil fuels & towards renewable energy.

Good to see this being called out. I would have included economics in the broadest sense. Endless growth at all costs is madness. UN head accuses fossil fuel firms of business models ‘inconsistent with human survival’

After an interview I did with a Just Stop Oil campaigner I’ve been accused of being a “climate denier” & “green gaslighter”. I challenged her assertion that “EVERYONE agrees that “OUR govt’s decision to pursue new oil is a death sentence for millions around the world” 1/6

This is true of the North Sea too! A team of experts at concluded that new oil and gas fields and licences in the UK is incompatible with the Paris Agreement. As explains in this excellent thread: 6/n
