I'm incredibly excited to share my lengthy conversation on the Something About The Beatles podcast about - what else - the Get Back sessions. Dig in, and dig it. Thanks for having me on, !

  2. 52 yrs ago today - Feb 4, 1968 - started recording "Across The Universe," prior to leaving for India. That makes it the 1st song cut for Let It Be, since the LP version is sourced from that. More on the song's role in the Get Back session:

Happy Super Bowl Sunday, to those who observe! Here’s John Lennon “of the original Beatles” on football, to Howard Cosell in 1974: “It makes rock concerts look like tea parties.” 🏈🎸☕️🎉

A mere 30 calendar days, and closer to 20 in the studio, and that's the Beatles' Get Back/Let It Be sessions. An incredible amount of music and information in a very compressed period of time. New posts coming soon to (flood threw off my schedule)

It's Jan 31 already, the 51st anniversary of the conclusion of the Get Back sessions., which mainly focused on the 3 non-rooftop songs for the film: Two of Us, Let It Be, The Long And Winding Road. Here's the final filmed version of Two of Us:

Paul phoned me and asked me to join. That’s what got me into The Beatles.

Just like that it's Jan 30, the 51st anniversary of the Beatles' concert atop the 3 Savile Row rooftop. Watch the Let It Be cut here: Will be interesting to see how it's handled in the Peter Jackson film, w/knowledge LIB version is incomplete but iconic

Many of you have probably seen this already - I’ve been dealing with a flooded basement (😩), off the twitters til now. Anyway, some Grammy people, of which I’m not, got to see new Let It Be trailer. Sounds like content we’ve been expecting, a good thing

It's very much a work in progress, but for easier navigation of all Harrison Archive posts (on Instagram), I've set up an index: As always, thank you so much for your interest in the archive. 😊 - Andrea

Recently read the Brian Southall book on Northern Songs, and it was the first time I’ve seen the suggestion John hoped Ray Charles would record “Whatever Gets You Thru The Night.” (Quote is from Sam Trust, former president/CEO of ATV)

Just found this great blog - as someone who has proudly done the sonic pilgrimage by listening to the entire avialble tapes on the right day in order (never again!) I can appreciate the effort and detail involved - great stuff!
