      anything extracted from NAND will be a block device, so it'll be readable (unless its encrypted which i doubt)

      dont think it was ever carried outside of Apple HQ so no real reason to, and there's no point speculating without definitive proof

      Yeah, I’m sure someone like @/nyan_satan has the knowledge to get them dumped. Imo it’s be good to dump to preserve smth after the hw of these protos fail. It’s dump shouldn’t be shared, but the dump is something that the owners of these prototypes can have after the hw breaks.

      Better to have the software backed up privately than to have the software lost, definitely. There’s only so much time left to do it.
