Interestingly, along with the internal applications, SwitchBoard is present and appears as an app icon within SpringBoard. Unfortunately, it crashes on launch.pic.twitter.com/1yHaNCWsB2
However, with some work, it can manually be started, and functions perfectly as a SwitchBoard buildpic.twitter.com/XnBgc9boEz
“Some work”
1. SSH RD into device, mount disk0s1.
2. Make a file called launchd.conf with contents
bsexec .. /AppleInternal/Applications/SwitchBoard.app/SwitchBoard
in /mnt1/private/etc/launchd.conf
3. Boot and profit
This works cause it runs before SpringBoard.

Or, even easier, run this in iOS ssh - launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist && launchctl load /AppleInternal/Applications/SwitchBoard.app/com.apple.SwitchBoard.plist && /AppleInternal/Applications/SwitchBoard.app/SwitchBoard
To launch iOS again, you could reboot. But that’s lame launchctl unload /AppleInternal/Applications/SwitchBoard.app/com.apple.SwitchBoard.plist && launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist && /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/SpringBoard
Run these commands with “screen -d -m “ prefacing them to detach from the console, otherwise you will have issues upon disconnecting the device
Correction Put screen -d -m after every &&
From my testing, loading apps is broken thru SWB. Edit the command for loading SWB and replace the launchctl load path with the plist for your target app, which will be in /AppleInternal/Applications/SwitchBoard/AppName.app/com.apple.appname.plist. 1/2
For the next part, set it to run your app executable. It’s same as path for the plist but instead of the plist http://com.apple .appname.plist it’s just AppName
