We of course hope to find happiness through our practice. But we have to be careful not to make it our only objective. What happens when we’re sad? Is our meditation a failure? Are we? Instead we might make our intention acceptance ... and then allow happiness to flow from there.

So true my friend. When you go from looking “through” your mind to “at” your mind it’s not always unicorns and rainbows but the long term results are more peace and contentment. After all no mud no lotus!
