When we think of meditation as a thing we have to do to be good, to find peace, or to check off the to-do list, we lose the intimacy, the connection to our heart. (1/2)

The best meditations sometimes happen spontaneously. After some activity, say reading, suddenly the urge to sit up straighter, close the eyes, and... go where there are no words... just... Being. To think one HAS to do it to be good, seems like a funny... misunderstanding.
