Such a mixed moment. I was fortunate to spend some time with your son and know you can find joy in knowing what a good man he is. Deep bows of respect from one Dad to another.

Thank you Jon. That’s very kind. Big hugs.

I always enjoy your articles. It make me think about the things that really matters . I have a 16 year old and an 8 year old boys - the difference between them are huge. I want to stop the time sometimes or even worse I want to bring back time .

I love this essay so much, Jason. The clock is no longer "what's next?" for me but "what's now?" My daughter (22) and son (18) are both right on the edge of their own beginnings. Sadness and joy-- "holding these two truths together." Enjoying every minute w/them before they leap.

This says so much that I know, but have never been able to speak because I thought I was alone in this- the cruelty when we break free to find ourselves, the challenge of letting babies become adults. Accepting their cruelty as their own breaking free.

Big hugs Lora you’re not alone
