It's the eye color. People don't realize how big of a difference eye color makes. Also the diamond face rather than round should make her look less European.
Sooo. One day before #Shadowlands #PrePatch (in EU) and this still is the closest I got to the asian-like customisation from Blizzcon 2019. 
Idk, is ist just me thinking it's close, but still looks pretty much European?

Hm, tried the darker eye colour but...
Which face shape do you mean? I only see Narrow, Wide, Round. And if i switch to Narrow the thing in the right picture happens.

Something similar happened with Nightborne, and I think it is because they think thinner eyes are more difficult to animate to show emotions. I don't know, just trying to make sense out of it.

Honestly I think the female looks exactly like the promo. Try changing the eye color but the male is very hard to achieve I’ll try again now and see if anything has changed
