XP gains from quests are good... plus you got the chance to get loot for your current level. So really - no downsides here so far. You only need a friend with to party sync with.

Thanks to @CrazyPally for the hint regarding party sync... This is glorious! Spouse got a character at 102, parked in Highmountain, and my 112 WL is now leveling to 120 in Highmountain. This is awesomazing!

I'm glad it's working well, and Legion is a great place for this. Scaled to 110 should open up the option of invasions if someone is looking for maximum xp for their time.
