I've lived in England my entire life, and I don't think I've ever heard anyone say B, always A. You might say "It's Monday" or "It's Monday today", but not "Today it's Monday".
Dear native English speakers out there... pls help me solve an argument!
Do you say:
a) Today is Monday.
or

Although, according to
@BookwormElf, B is actually used up north, where-as I live in the midlands So I guess both are right depending on where you are in England. Dialect changes almost per-town here.

I'm not native but, as I see it, the correct one is the 1. The basic sentence construction in English is Subject+verb+compl/object. So, as "today" is the subject, the "it" doesn't fit, as it would be also subject. If you don't use "today" as on the meme, it would be "it's Monday"

“It” would replace “today” in your examples. So it would be either: A: Today is Monday B: It’s Monday

Generally people would just say 'It's Monday' but if you wanted to add today, most people would probably say 'It's Monday today' :)

Canadian English, I use both. It's situational I find.

No! I just say the date. Thinking about it all morning lol No verbs or adjectives or whatever lol just "Monday" why does it need more words lol
