In a wild turn of events, entering the #konamicode during #streetfighter2 demo play brings up bookkeeping info on screen.
Credits & continues used, along character usage count are displayed.

That's pretty much it apparently. CPS1 can't hold values anyway, so it resets on power down. The task code is at 0x94d74 on SF2, put into the scheduler during demo play only.
