The Cranberries’s Tweets

We are devastated on the passing of our friend Dolores. She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to have been part of her life from 1989 when we started the Cranberries. The world has lost a true artist today. Noel, Mike and Fergal

We were delighted to hear of Miley Cyrus’ cover of Zombie at the Whisky a Go Go #SOSFEST in LA at the weekend. It’s one of the finest covers of the song that we’ve heard. We think Dolores would be very impressed! Check it out here:

“Ferg here. It’s hard to believe that it’s been two years since Dolores’s passing. Linger was playing on the radio this morning, listening to it was both sad + uplifting. Sad because she has passed but uplifting because she will always be with us through her voice and her songs.”

“I’m such a lucky blessed person. I’m so thankful to God for what I have. On my eleven years of touring, I’ve seen so much deprivation and sadness. Life’s so short, it’s essential to put love and happiness first. I can’t function without love.” - letter from Dolores on 21/05/2001

Whatever happens at the Grammys today just being nominated for best rock album is a huge honour that Dolores would be so proud of. Sitting here waiting for the announcement feels so surreal without her. We will forever be greatful to and will always miss our sister in music.

left our world five years ago. Sometimes it feels like it was a moment ago, other times it feels like ages have passed. Her spirit, her voice and her energy will continue on, inspiring and encouraging us every day of every year. We miss you D. Ferg, Mike and Noel. x

Post 1/2 30 years ago our debut single, “Linger” was released. It was the beginning of a very exciting journey for The Cranberries. It was this beautiful song that introduced our music and Dolores' unique voice to the world.

Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of our album Wake Up and Smell the Coffee. We have such fond memories of reuniting with Stephen Street in Windmill Lane studios to record the album. Thanks to our fans for keeping these songs alive and in doing so, keeping Dolores’ memory alive.

Unfortunately our record label has had to defer the release of our 25th anniversary edition of “No Need To Argue” until Nov 13th due to logistical issues associated with the worldwide covid-19 pandemic. We are so sorry to disappoint, but this is very much out of our control.

Ten years ago today we shot the video for “Tomorrow”. Filmed at an old garage close to where Dolores grew up in Bohermore, just outside Limerick city, little did we know at the time that it was to be the last ever video we would make with her.
