I'm reading the post and I don't get the same impression. What makes you think they are mainly asking for criticisms of org/plan details or that they don't want criticisms of the foundations of EA?

The formats section is the most clear on this. Bunch of other details from criteria, what not to submit and elsewhere as well. Seems pretty hard to miss to me.

I'm tempted to write an article pointing out they only want articles and haven't tried to build infrastructure to hear broader types of criticism (eg polling, polis, polls, policy juries, etc)

Like the spirit but on the object level I think their decision was the right call
