You’re right - let’s ignore all the poor and middle class workers that have lost their jobs bc of the store closures and shortened hours. And let’s also pretend prosecuting retail theft and wage theft are mutually exclusive.

as someone who worked retail: retail employees do not care about shoplifting. shoplift all you want. It doesn't change any of the employees days.

Other store with same issues and more business stayed open. Employees didn’t lose jobs they got moved to the store that was profitable. Try reading
