We have recovered a second kitten from the storm drain but it’s starting to rain. There are two kittens still in the pipe and mom.

Have to give a shout out to for helping us keep our lights going long into the night as we built a trap door to keep the kittens from escaping deeper into the drains.

As of writing this we have secured one of what we think is four kittens, and rescue operations continue for the other three hopefully before the rain picks up again.

Operation Kitten Rescue! A young momma cat had her babies in a storm drain in San Antonio. Bad storms caused the drains to flood so we brought out the kit we usually take on hurricane relief trips and set to work.

Over the weekend the Mayhew Foundation crew transported over $200,000 in Star Wars toys donated by Holocron Toy Store (12 pallets). These toys will be headed to children’s hospitals to spread much needed joy and distractions to kids facing cancer and other medical challenges.
