    I’m trying to figure out why...I think the distinction is that abbreviations feel fine when used for standard medical jargon (“c/b” for “complicated by”) but just feel really lazy when applied to colloquial phrases.

    In the United States a large, academic medical center can charge $3897 for....a nose swab.

    Walked into w a kid w a temp & walked out w a $3,897 nose swap, did not get promised same day results, nor did the lab find anything. The onus on parents to make fast decisions abt their family's physical & financial health w/out any visibility is disheartening & outrageous
