    To avoid detection by snakes,ground squirrels will eat or rub themselves with discarded snakeskin, or bath in soil where snakes have rested. This mother helps her offspring with a trick that works as snakes rely on their sense of smell as their eyesight is poor. VC:Nature on PBS.
