It's because in the world wars eras they destroyed the colors of the world with the atomics ash which the ancients never achieved
They didn’t have the camera back then so we go off of painting and other ancient art depicting events from those time periods. And, of course, all the art pieces are usually in color!
Or how the antique Greece reminds us of Kirk's enterprise!
