    Shower Thoughts‏ @TheWeirdWorld May 2

Money might not equal happiness, but a lack of money causes instability in life which causes anxiety and depression, the opposite of happiness.

Money cannot buy happiness but the lack of it can sure buy misery.

I agree. When you really look at how the World is: No money equals no income wich means we can not afford to eat and drink. All of this causes unhappiness. To conclude, today, money has become something essential for happiness.

If you have enough to survive, be content. Below that, ask for help. Above that, give thanks, and try to help!

But these days asking for help is considered begging and being a bum.

People can be most cruel to those who most need kindness. We don't have to believe what society says. Each of us can choose what to believe about ourselves and each other. Are we a human tribe, or are we alone in the world? Can I be a friend to myself if alone, and ask for help?

Shopping isn't the only thing money is used for. You can feed, shelter & educate yourself & your children. Afford medicine. Help family members. Of course, a nice Michael Kors bag doesn't hurt either.

This only applies to industrialized societies and cultures that are confined by capitalism. There a places in the world where money is just printed paper with no value and those people are happy.
