The American Dream no longer exists. It was taken from us and replaced with student loans and degrees that are useless.

What!?
No doubts this written by. Millennial!
Real version:
Being a millennial is like showing up at party hour late as usual, then complaining free drinks are top shelf and free food isn’t warm enough. Where’s my comfort peacock??? -
Oh, post-party, they will set up protests and rallies... but make sure neither conflict w their yoga and Pilates classes

Yes and being a Gen X is like arriving late and everybody is drunk, stoned or even dead and somebody threw up in the punchbowl. But there are are still a few less tasty hors d'oeuvres left and the host is glad you finally showed and freshed it up a bit because it's clearing out.
-
No, being Gen X is like arriving at a party, having the hosts shrug and roll their eyes at you as they trash the place, then hours later watching as the hosts angrily blame the newly arriving guests for the mess as everyone forgets you are even there.
-
In Canada the hosts are better at pretending they like you and keeping things cool before they call the cops.

And if you even think of complaining you won't be allowed to take any of the leftovers home for dinner when you're done.

You can always recognize a millennial's attempt at language when it includes things like "being a millennial today".

It all depends on your definition of Millennial. If you're talking about anyone born between 1985 and 1999, that's not the definition of Millennial anymore.

In this metaphor, your first mistake was thinking you were invited, as a guest, to a party. Your naive entitlement is showing.

Some generation after the Millennials will say the exact same thing about the Millennials.

I'd say more like handing you a mop and saying you're lucky you didn't have to help organize and set up the party.
-
That would just be implying they’re lucky they weren’t born in the 1700s

Most of the current generation has a sense of entitlement. Sad.
-

Boomers, Gen X, Mills, and Gen Z are all nothing compared to the Great, but Mills are the worst. Gen Z seems a bit more real.
