Pain killers don’t heal the body like other medicine but instead tell the body to not warn you of something that needs healing.

So if you take painkillers for a headache it doesn't kill the headache? Or it doesn't help with a healing broken bone? ...

No, it does not actually kill the headache or heal any parts of a broken bone. Painkillers just block our pain nerves from signaling pain to our brain

This is why we have cannabis. Kills the pain and heals at the same time 💚

Its a great thing ! Its cured my opioid dependancy (after a serious accident and 3 major and numerous minor operations to rebuild me) and I swear by it.

But the purpose is to stop the pain. It's doing it's job. For example, period cramps don't need healing but it still hurts. The pain medicine is perfect for that situation, and for other situations too.
