Alright, to all the people saying go to sleep earlier this is a problem. In teens there are study's that show we produce melatonin an hour later than adults. And some don't produce any at all. Coupled with overall stress related issues on top of hours of homework and parents and

Daily reminder that there is hard evidence that teenagers' bodies begin to produce melatonin over an hour later than those of adults or children. Saying "go to sleep earlier" doesn't even begin to address the problem

The real question is why do we even go to school? You can easily learn whatever you want online for free. Unfortunately my school days are over so I can't do anything about it now, but I don't think we need schools. All we need is a dream/passion and the internet.

I must say, if the absurdly broken and outdated school system doesn't get fixed, either by the government (extremely unlikely) or the people (quite unlikely), you do have a point. I really doubt it will ever get fixed, because at this point, I've lost hope.

why does school need to be the big decider that could impact the rest of your life in a negative tone
-
Because all schooling beside k-6 is mainly proving ur ability to learn, follow directions, and understand your place in a system where you have to listen to people that are above you even if u don’t like them or what u do. Most of what u learn is useless
-
I don't know if you're supporting the system, or opposing it. Either way, there's no need to stress children out just so they can learn. It does more bad than good. Plus they need a CHOICE in what they want to learn, not to be forced into a class they have no interest in.
-
I’m not really either or I don’t believe forms of teaching have a broad effect, I know there are studies that show otherwise but I think other than almost individualized learning it’s mostly personality types that breed success or failure
