I was born in 1964. My early years were filled with massive riots & protests in US cities, the Soviets crushing the Prague Spring, the Vietnam War, Prisoners Of War in bamboo cages, Nixon bombing Cambodia, Agent Orange, Watergate, Kent State, mass pollution & crime, so OK, yeah..

My parents were born in 64 too. Had well-paying jobs immediately after graduation. Owned a house before age 30. I worked precarious jobs for years before I could get a similar job as theirs. Still don't own a house. Don't pretend you guys didn't live in more abundant times.

Oh, I totally agree. Some major differences between now & then are that the minimum wage in the 70s was a pretty decent wage. You could actually live on it. And tuition at public colleges & community colleges was actually affordable. The chasm between rich & poor is 1000x wider.

Actually all generations felt that way. The difference is other generations didn’t run crying when they didn’t get want they wanted or their feelings were hurt.
-
Oh, please. I beg to differ. All generations before didn’t have a social media platform to do so.

More like inheriting a house and whining because you have to pay your own bills and since you didn’t ask for it, they should be free.

We didn't start the fire, it was always burning since the world is turning

My mother was born in 52 and remembers when making burgers at Wendy’s paid enough for her first apartment and a car loan. Now you’re lucky if a Wendy’s job pays enough for a used car and an apartment with two roommates.

And then we have to learn how to rebuild it back up but carpentry and architecture classes are too expensive

More often than not, we all inherit a burning house. So it is up to the inheritors to either whine and let it burn, or effing deal. And maybe be grateful the whole world isn't on fire.

Most Millennials are whiny babies that can't handle someone else being president and riot at the first sign of a Republican president
