Let me reword this, “When you’re accustomed to Capitalism, Communism feels like oppression.”
-
Communism literally is oppression my guy
-
Exactly! People like this complain “but I can’t survive on my minimum wage McDonald’s job” and I always reply like “well maybe if you paid attention in school it wouldn’t be a problem.” People want money without working for it. Communism breeds laziness
-
Are you not familiar with the root of why it's called minimum wage?
-
It’s minimum wage for a reason, on it you shouldn’t be able to afford luxuries. It’s so you can buy food and pay basic bills. People who are outta college working min. Wage brought it upon themselves
-
You should, however, be able to pay for basic necessities, which is not the case with federal minimim wage. What about those currently going to College? They have to work at minimum wage, and still can't pay for it. They're forced to take student loans.
-
What about those that lost their decent-paying job to outsourcing? Did they bring it upon themselves? Is it their fault their job was outsources?
-
What are you implying

Just because someone has attained privelage does not mean it is justified to subject them to equality. Oppression and privilege is all relative.
-
"Subject them to equality"? As if equality were a punishment? Wtf do you even mean with this?

Positive consequences following positive actions is a natural process. Interference with that process due to some other factor (ie. race, gender, soc/econ) is inequality and is not freedom. Defining equality as positive results despite negative actions serves no one. Teach. Lift.

Well doesn't it depend on how you achieve equality? To achieve absolute equality of outcome for all, it would indeed be an oppressive society.
