The first time you learn about the human brain is the exact moment your brain becomes self-aware.

The first time I read this is when I became aware that my brain wasn't aware that it was self aware.

No, my brain is an organ, it can't have self-awareness. Also, my heart doesn't know it exists, because it can't know anything.

I’m not so sure this is true. I learned of my brain much before I came self aware.

First of all, self awareness does not happen at a a single moment. It happens over time, especially as our brain develops. Second, self awareness is a connection of knowledge, and not knowledge itself. Simply learning new knowledge does not increase self awareness.

But knowledge does provide the POTENTIAL for an extra boost in self awareness.

Think of “Connect the Dots”. Knowledge = the dots. Self awareness = connections between the dots. An increase in knowledge provides more dots. More connections equates to a more visible picture (self awareness).

My brain just melted in a never-ending loop of thinking about this. This tweet is the last message it will ever send to my eyes and fingers. Pretty sure anything my body does after this will require no thought and a diaper.

The brain is not aware. It's an object. Only Awareness is aware: of objects and of itself.
