Life hack: Teaching people valuable life skills and lessons via the entertainment they consume. That’s like sneaking healthy veggies into a kid’s pizza dinner.

Correct CPR done on a healthy person can be damaging. I like your thought process tho! Maybe life saving classes should be madated throughout the nation.

It should be illegal to be stupid and think that learning something from a movie will transfer to real life lol
-
My thoughts exactly, if you're learning skills, or anything for that matter, from movies alone you aren't really bettering yourself. Not saying it can't be a good starting point of course, but that shouldn't be the one and only reference.
-
Picture this: you’ve never taken a CPR class (which everyone should, but that isn’t the point) and your friend collapses and needs CPR immediately. You are the only one around. The only knowledge you have of CPR is what you’ve seen on TV. If it had been shown correctly...
-
Maybe you could save your friends life. Now, should it be illegal to show it incorrectly? No. But should people think about little stuff like that when creating scenes for TV? Maybe? No, you shouldn’t take things on TV as real, but sometimes it’s all the knowledge a person has.
-
Check mate, i dont have friends But seriously of course its nice when something is portrayed correctly in a movie or tv show but it shouldnt be relied on as a primary information source.
-
Oh absolutely, I agree. It’s just another way of looking at it, really. It’s not always that someone would choose it to be their primary source of info, sometimes it just happens. It definitely shouldn’t be law though.

thats right! Anything done in a movie incorrectly should be deleted from a movie scene or the director notice it and do retakes until it is perfect. Hey, some people, like myself, have learned a lot from movies. It could cost someone their life.
-
If people try to learn cpr from a movie and not from a legitimate instructor, then maybe the movie isn't the problem.
-
I didn't make my comment to have to justify it. Im just saying don't put on some fake shit. For the people who don't have money to go to a CPR class. TV is where it's at.
-
I sort of agree in the sense that if a character on a show or in a movie does cpr, it should be done correctly. I was watching a show and a character was doing chest compressions way too slow and it bugged the crap outta me. It shouldn't be banned though. That's asinine.
-
Thank you! Banning is going a little too far. I didn't care much about that part. All I ask is to see things done correctly lol
-
It's def a bit of a pet peeve lol

This fails to take into account that it is purposely shown wrong because done right it could seriously injury someone.
