It was agreed up on because that was back when people still believed in science and when they were shown a day was 24 hours long and a year was 365 days, they didn't deny it. I'm looking at you climate change deniers

We use both tho Unless I'm a dumb bag of hammers and didn't know that we only use US Customary

We have both on labels because we recognize that we're one of only three nations in the world that don't use the metric system. We, as a nation, overwhelmingly use the US System while the metric system is universal and makes more logical sense.
