Was there ever a time before now when ‘Poor Families’ were able to ‘afford’ going?
-
Yes. Disneyland was at one time relatively inexpensive. If you could save just a little you could go. Now? Not so much.
-
Thanks for helping me better understand. I’m from NJ. I was fortunate enough for my parents to vacation at Disneyland and Disney World is how I’m ‘narrowly wrong to think’ this place is required for going. Thanks again.
-
Just interesting reading for anyone that is curious.
-
Thanks for that. I’m not sure about this much different than what I think of going to Pro Sporting events are costing today? Check out the NY Yankees ticket prices for example.
-
Totally agree with that. The NFL has gotten insane. I guess there will always be enough people that can pay the high prices.
-
I’m not sure if I live to see it, but I think 1 of the 4 Major League Pro Sports in USA is in trouble one day and collapses due to being TV MONEY for the MOST VALUABLE part about business rather than FANS who created?

Well, without that price there wouldn’t be a Disneyland
simple supply and demand -
They’re a multi billion dollar company, at least lower the price at Disney Land
-
But that wouldn’t do anything, unfortunately, that wouldn’t get less fortunate people in the door. Personally I don’t know if their price is for profit or not. Regardless, if they weren’t making money it wouldn’t be the happiest place on earth it’d be... a local fair
-
Basic economics tells us that demand here is greater than the actual supply. For example if Disneyland was at full capacity 365 days a year because of the low price there would still be a line outside of the park. Charity is not out of the question tho, Disney donates often
