Why don’t we all learn universal sign language in school? that way you’ll never have trouble communicating with anyone.

Probably because sign language isn't universal 🙄🤔

🤦🏽‍♀️Because sign language is just like any other language, with variation and dialects. I.e. A universal SIGN language doesn't exist. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Even sign languages aren't universal. The signs change in every country.

There is no 'universal' sign language. Just as there is no universal language. Are you going to make one up?

Learning a universal sign language would be just like learning a universal spoken language.

You can't sign language on the internet. Why don't we just come up with a universal spoken language?

You're talking about Esperanto, right? Yeah, I kinda wish that one was more widely known.

Problem is that it doesn't solve a need; everyone already knows a language so a 'common language' has little incentive for most of the world

But the same argument could be used for any language. Why don't they teach Mandarin in all schools so we can all communicate wuth each other
