Instead of executing prisoners on death row, keep them alive as organ donors until someone needs an organ.

The uncertainty of not knowing when you will be executed seems cruel. But they totally should have to donate blood while they are waiting.

The level of frequency for being checked for pathogens would be rather expensive for either a state or privately run facility.

Or put them in an arena, charge spectators to see them fight and give the benefits to the victims and/or the victims' families.

They can't do that, because many organs take damage from the lethal injection. And frying is definitely not good for it either

Of course, kidneys or liver tissue can be taken from living donors, but then, why take those from an inmate and not a spouse or sibling?

The spouse or sibling has more to live for. You could always just starve them to death so no organs are harmed btw

But why take the chance of there being complications with a loved one if you can just take them from some inmate?

America is great but our system isn't perfect. That 4.1% can attest to that.
