Your perception of the flavor has changed, although the substance and what it is made of is not. Ice cream melted would be another example.
-
But ice cream has a flavor, water does not. Thus the temperature disguises itself as a flavor.
-
But that isn't correct. Water does have a flavor.
-
Your perception of the flavor has changed, the flavor has not. But does that really matter? Taste is subjective, therefore the actual taste is irrelevant and the perception is key.
-
Yes, that is basically my thought as well. Or is perception taste? Since your mouth has fed information to your brain. There may be a subtle difference but its semantics.

...but not true for dogs, it seems. They come equipped with taste buds we lack. Always found that interesting.
