Yes, there's a video that was doing the rounds not to long ago of an astronaut getting confused because he dropped a pen in an interview and expected it to be there when he looked back.

I'm sure they randomly drop stuff, but that would have more to do with muscle and bone deterioration from microgravity.

They do actually. Theres a vid of a guy that drops a pen and expects it to stay cuz he was in space for a long time. He does the same for a cup too i believe.
