        I once read a book that said there were many forms of unicorns(not just a horse) a lot of them were said to be deadly especially the black horned ones

        I read somewhere that they Origin of the Unicorn myth likely started with the Rhino, but between Bad descriptions, No Point of Reference, and bad drawings ... the 'tank on legs, with a pointy nose, became a Horse with a spike in it's forehead
