Cars should have “Sorry” lights you can activate when you do something stupid.

I also like Gallagher’s idea of magnetic darts that drivers can shoot at vehicles who do something rude or stupid in traffic. When they accumulate a certain number of darts they lose their license. Each dart would need to have the shooter’s name on it. In case of a dispute.

Instead of red light cameras And mailing out citations, they should have a red paint gun hit the car. It doesn't wash off for two months

They should, but they already have turning signals and nobody uses THOSE so why would they use the Sorry Lights.

An Inter-vehicle Instant Message System that can let you know if you’ve (for example) left your indicator on or have a brake light not working.

Thought about that. Option menu only. e.g. <select option> • indicator still blinking • brake light fault • rear light fault • thank you • please switch off your hi-beam • headlight fault • spilled load <send to [REG]/[VEHICLE BEHIND/IN FRONT]>

Yep. Everyone thinks that they’re above average drivers. Of course that’s impossible. All too often the ones who think they’re the best drivers are actually the worst.
