I’m not saying the CDC can’t or shouldn’t be trusted. But I am frustrated with the back and forth and what seems like caving to pressure for normal.

Did the CDC muck this up or is it just me? I feel like Americans who got vaccinated didn’t understand they still can get COVID. And the CDC getting rid of the mask mandate for vaccinated folks gave a false sense of security.

Not just you. I didn't trust the CDC to begin with because of how they mucked up the FIRST part of the pandemic by telling us we didn't need masks at first.

At least at that point, the science was all over the place. There is no excuse a year later to do something so careless.

They mucked it up for sure, lol they thought we would "just do the right thing and get vaccinated"...naive. Like, do we live in the same country?

I think they also fundamentally underestimated Delta/potential variants. Mitigation measures other than vaccines will be required for a long time.
