If it was an Asian man speaking out in this situation, he’d get the “toxic masculasian” label slapped on. Dont trust asian women until you confirm they arent self haters 2018.

The entire franchise was lifted out of Asian martial arts culture & mythologies. Chinese Shaolin Monks, Qi (The Force) & Japanese Samurai were the inspiration for Knights / Order / Code. was basically a master.

It's important to note that qipao prom dress girl now has a verified account but doesn't. What does that tell you about where we are as a country and who we prioritize?

😆 hahaha I think it’s part ignorance and part discomfort. I blame the media as well. people who haven’t had much contact with other races only know them through what media shows them and tells them is okay. Hence why the Simpsons Apu is an issue and needed to be addressed.

Facts, data, research, studies, and historical evidence, please. Then you can bitch about “cultural appropriation” too 😉

Find out why this film festival in an Italian town attracts a loyal-and ever-growing-band of Asian film fanatics.

An “ideological driven zombie” is somebody who, when presented with a mountain of facts, data, research, reports, and evidence, completely ignores it to push their own agenda. Projection much? 🙄

The problem is that nobody will ever state upfront that’s the reason why they married or are partnered with someone. Stated preferences have long been proven to be bogus in research, hence why economists, academics, and marketers rely on revealed preferences.

If people could read this article by before screaming “they aren’t racist”! or telling POC they’re being a “reverse racist” for expressing their lived experiences, we’d all be in a much better place to have some real discussion:

"Respecting culture". They did this before by whitewashing movies. They want to be Asian more so than Asians themselves, culturally appropriate it and make it cool. some reason when we apply our own cultural roots, we get bullied

I don't think they're ignoring so much as intentionally avoiding, because it involves very ugly truths. The best writing about it comes from Asian women who went through a very intense white worship / yellow fever period, woke up, and started writing about these truths.

In other words, what kind of politics do we have that we are allowed to scrutinize male desire bias, but not female desire bias, when we know from data both exist? What kind of "fever" do Asian women have when they put a premium on whiteness?
