1. Don't check social
I'm a hypocrite because I barely do this, but when I do it's GREAT. Even just removing the app from the home screen on your phone does a lot.

2. Maybe don't tweet
Some people find solace in tweeting their feelings, which is fine! But I caution JUST using Twitter as a crutch. It's not therapy or necessarily a good release, especially in a heightened state.
Find a friend, drink water, sit on the floor, etc.Show this thread -
3. Just WALK. CRY. GTFO.
Get up from your desk. Give yourself time to reflect and cool down. Steam forums angering you? Close the tab. Do something else. I know (esp. when things are on fire) a break seems like the worst idea. But you can afford 5 mins. No one will perish.Show this thread -
3.5. Find your small comforts
This is v. specific to me, but when I'm v. stressed, I drink mint tea and sit on the floor. The refreshing feel of the mint makes me feel... uh, refreshed. And I just weirdly love sitting on the floor. It makes me feel grounded.

4. Folder of Nice Things
Keep a folder of Nice Things people say about the game or your work. Read it when you feel shitty, even if you don't want to. It's a saviour.pic.twitter.com/k5k9hM8IAF

5. Ask for help
Talk!! To!! Friends!! Especially friends who aren't involved in games. They'll help you realize how... utterly dumb some of the stuff is. And that it's ok to not think about it, sometimes.
There is a life outside your job, and games.Show this thread -
6. Talk to your boss (hopefully u trust them)
Tell work where you're struggling the most. This IS ur job, but that doesn't mean you can't find ways to make it easier, ask for consulting, or work out strategies for you. (E.g. you get 10 mins to just LEAVE, no questions asked.)Show this thread -
7. Consider... It might not be right for you?
I'm going to be honest - I've talked to people who wanted to be CMs, but it became apparent that it isn't ACTUALLY what they wanted or something they could handle. And that's ok! Don't misunderstand the mental strain of community.Show this thread -
8. "Don't take it personally" is not great advice, imo. Yeah we ALL know we shouldn't, but logic VS emotions is different. It's my JOB to have high EQ!! So don't beat yourself up if you do feel sad, angry, or annoyed. It's ok. You're not a bad CM for feeling.

Anyways, what will help you is specific to the context of what is stressing you and your own personal things. Hope this kinda helped! :)

Community Management Exhaustion
Like any job that deals with the public, sometimes you're going to be upset, scared, or exhausted dealing with it. Not necessarily burnt out, but you can't just leave your desk and go home.
Here's some stuff I do!
