Yep, the language is too complicated and requires lots of glosses, so I'm going to extend the group read from three to four months. Otherwise, few participants will be able to keep up.

Seriously thinking about reducing the weekly reading portion of José Trigo. The number of unknown words for the learners of Spanish is going to be stratospheric.

@TheUntranslated @NavonaEditorial

Good morning. Here is Peter Booth's 1981 painting 'Painting'. Booth emigrated to Australia in 1958 and his surreal, apocalyptic figurative paintings of the 1980s draw on memories of his childhood in the blackened industrial landscape of Sheffield.

"Biber’s Missa Salisburgensis is another example of an attempt to build a Tower of Babel, and before that, there was Thomas Tallis’ Spem in Alium, composed of 40 voices (8 choirs of 5 voices each)" theuntranslated.wordpress.com/2022/12/05/int

I’m fond of Tallis’ ‘Spem In Alium’ invariably The Tallis Scholars, but do please let me know of any other intelligent interpretations.

Shameful confession: I hadn't seen a single interview with Christian Bale until recently and all that time I had been sure he was American.
