The sophistry in Aviram & Bazelon's article ramps up cleverly distorted reasons for sympathy for society's worst. for ex.: "Since March 2020, more than 45,000 people in California prisons have been infected with the coronavirus and 175 have died." = 0.38% But, 410k/24.7M = 1.6%pic.twitter.com/wbUCwOGZzY

For example, the authors bring up the plight of prisoners w/covid to garner sympathy -- and yet the covid death rate is higher outside of prison. It demonstrates a lavish rapport with society's worst. And this means that their judgement w/regard to public safety is untrustworthy.
