Having fled war and left their homes, refugee families now face a perilously cold winter as snowstorms hit camps in Lebanon. Donations to help to buy fuel, mattresses, blankets, warm winter clothes, covers for tents and provide better shelters:

Happy to report that my journalist colleague and friend was acquitted today in İzmir court and the international travel ban imposed upon her removed. Glad to have been able to be there in solidarity. #gazeteciliksuçdeğildir

Al-Monitor columnist Nazlan Ertan goes on trial today in İzmir for retweeting a post by rights defender Eren Keskin.
Ertan is charged with "exposing identities of officials involved in fighting terrorism" and "insult." She was also barred from traveling abroad.
