My husband hates chelsea boots but needs something to wear in the winter that aren’t sneakers. Anyone have a favorite pair of boots?

My top gift-giving advice (and I'm good at gifts) is to not give anything related to a person's main interests. That's already a priority for them, they probably already know what they specifically want and/or prioritize spending their own money on it.

Some people identify friendship as talking daily or hanging out a lot. That is a social friend. Close friends often can for weeks, months and years with no contact but are there if needed/milestones in one's life. A true friend will respect your privacy unless a crisis is sensed.

Someone called me a bad friend and said I must want to end the friendship. I told that person last week I’ve been struggling with my mental health. Telling friends to reach out is performative.

My grandma keeps complaining about my two cousins' wives and she swears they don't like her. And she always brings up their "little masters degrees." What exactly is she saying? Does she not like that they're educated?

Send Bailey some good vibes, y’all. We’re at the vet. He has a neck injury from walking the neighborhood acting like a tough guy.

Anyways. I'm headed to Scandinavia w/ the girlies next week. Anyone want anything? Skincare? Canned fish? An article perhaps?

Money isn't everything must've come from someone who's never been without. I've seen people's entire personalities change because they finally got a good paying job. It doesn't make you happy but knowing you can pay your bills certainly helps.

Whose album have you heard a million times but still hits the same? For me that’s the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Gets me every single time.

Yes, they changed that a while ago. Now some elected officials and others in professions that used to be excluded are now called. I asked someone why and I was told the eligible pool has shrunk. They do not call those with records, violations, etc. The pool to pick from is small.

I just reread something I wrote and I'd put recommending "foraging friendships" instead of forging. I mean... still not a bad sentence.

How many days do I have before Spotify tells me my habits for 2022? I have to hurry and listen to stuff bc it will look like I only listened to Atlantic Starr and Kygo all year 🤦🏽‍♀️

It’s not helpful to tell someone childless that you wanted more kids but it didn’t happen for you. Maybe sharing that is a knee jerk reaction, but *only* having one or two isn’t the same as none.

Looking to connect with a woman of color in Philly who is a lawyer. I’m helping a high school student find someone to shadow for a day. Can you guys tag some folks?

My family's all going to Longwood Gardens tonight, and my grandma adamant that she doesn't want me pushing her in a wheelchair, saying it's too much. But if we so much as grocery shop without her, she says we don't care about her. Make up your mind! lol

Some days I'm a lyricist, dropping bombs with every sentence I write. Some days, I reread a paragraph aloud 3x trying to understand the point I was trying to make.

People are always weird about essays. Apparently bc I’m light skinned nobody will discriminate against me abroad, and white people aren’t traveling either so I’m creating a problem that doesn’t exist. Let’s not forget I talked about MY family in my essay.
