It’s proven that VIOLENT games like Fortnite increase aggressive behaviour and a lack of empathy in players. Will you let your kids continue to play? #9Todaypic.twitter.com/BTjTenlwKQ

We deleted it, our children were completely consumed by Fortnite. Limiting play in moderation or under supervision did not work when the addiction responses/behaviours/urges remained even when the game was off. How is this good for our kids?? 👎🏻👎🏻

you shold find out why your kids were "addicted". They may be under some amount of stress you didnt aknowledge and must have some way of relieving it.

Cite your sources, @TheTodayShow. Where has it been "proven that VIOLENT games like Fortnite increase aggressive behaviour and a lack of empathy in players"?

The only thing that make be aggressive is losing a game of Uno with the Just dance DLC

Yeah I'm doing my dissertation on this guys. Hate to break it but no. While studies have shown that some games increase violent affect, numerous others show that co-op experiences (like Fortnite) decreases agressive tendencies and INCREASES social connection and social capital.

Drives me bonkers when psychologists with no grounding in these issues start sprouting aggression studies and confounding them with addiction and dopamine stuff.

I was absolutely horrified to learn about this (and the drug epidemic segment) this morning. I worry for my very young grandkids and what will be ahead for them. Surely there should have been an age limit set before "Fortnite" was released?!

There is an age limit. It’s 13. Don’t listen to the nonsense drummed up in this.

The least you could do is actually get the boys to have a fight live on tv to back up your psychologists handy reference to all of the research on aggression. A new low in tabloid TV. Get in touch if you want a fake news free perspective.
