We know that there are folks who cannot participate for a variety of reasons--precarious status, anti-worker laws, etc. Solidarity comes in many forms; those of us who are in a position to do so can strike for you. I should have said this earlier, and didn't. I'm sorry for that.

I appreciate the need for an institutionally verifiable email, but I am also a little concerned about that being the email address through which strike details are communicated, for a variety of reasons.

Also, I am concerned with the ability of someone to access the list somehow or use it to retaliate. My contract specifically states that striking is illegal because I am a government/public employee. There are thousands of scholars in my position. What's the purpose of the list?
