Switch accessibility of the @YouTube app needs work. I really have trouble playing and pausing videos, skipping adds and collapsing the video viewer. @googleaccess

That's odd, have you tried reinstalling the YouTube app to see if it is otherwise? This usually clears things up, let us know if that helps.

Okay. I can now skip ads using Switch Control. Still having trouble playing and pausing videos, though. Can’t get SC to focus on the video controls and I can’t use Point Mode because the UI hides too quickly. Let me know if I can help in any way. :)pic.twitter.com/H6H5vnyBWu

Yeah, so, basically the video player UI (including the Collapse button) isn’t accessible because it hides while Switch Control is trying to focus on it. Ideally you guys should be able to detect SC and prevent the UI from hiding until SC has finished scanning.

It’s been happening on all recent versions of iOS. I’m currently on 12.1.3.

Oh ok. Please send a feedback report directly from YouTube with these steps: https://goo.gl/WdI0BK . While every individual report may not get a direct response, we do review everything and use the details to investigate and fix issues. Thanks.
