Totally agreed, this is why some books are so fruitful when going through it again, even years later, because you have developed so much you will surely pick things out you didn't understand before.

I’m fairly good with comprehension but struggle to remember more than 10% of most books, fiction or nonfiction, even if I ravished them. Any tips on how to retain what you read?

1. Imagine throughput 2. Make connections with things you already know or day to day things 3. Pre-Read all titles or bold words. 4. First sentence usually embodys main idea. Remember it. 5. Skim through after finishing so as to correct the order of information in your brain.
