It's weird that the mainstream is bashing Warren and Sanders for downplaying the impact of automation on workers. When I was in school we made fun of the Luddites. Now everyone says they're right?

You made fun of manual laborers who lost their jobs? What kind of monstrous school was this

Productivity growth has been very slow, so there IS no wave of automation now by historical standards. That's why the whole argument is so ridiculous. Yang and the automated truck driver thing. Oh JFC. Autonomous cars and trucks are arriving slower, not faster, than expected.

The mainstream loves the automation message. It’s not fault. There’s nothing we can do. Here’s a handout. Use it wisely.

Moreover, with a Job Gty as part of a Full Employment Fiscal Policy in place, free trade AND automation are a good thing. ("nice robot. nice robot"):https://fflorescpa.wordpress.com/2018/07/28/tariffs/ …

When were you in school? Did they have self-driving cars, automated farming machines & CRISPR then? Things have changed.

My belief still is that these arguments exists only for argument sake(taking political stance rather than outcome based discussion). Everything made now is still based on perfect outcomes, which no one can possibly know about. In 1960 we believed nuclear will be almost free.
