        in literal sense, yes - as of most recent data about 1 million Americans work for Japanese companies according to Commerce Department. Second only to UK. If the article was alarmist it's clearly nothing to have really been alarmed about...

        I remember when it came out. Underrated example of normalization: Die Hard, which came out the next year & featured a benevolent & sympathetic Japanese CEO (who is tragically murdered by the terrorists).
