I need someone to explain this ideological crusade against mass transit. Because I don’t quite get it.https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/news/koch-group-behind-anti-light-rail-campaign-in-phoenix-11336419 …

Taxes. Buses/light rail is a redistribution of wealth to poor people without cars. There was a related pushback against a UN urban-density plan a few years ago; that was more about the New World Order, etc
-
It also takes poor people to places where they aren't wanted

So you think the reason is freedom, not keeping poor POC (who can’t own a car) down? Seriously?

Really? Is that the way things go in Greece? That's the first time I've ever heard anyone express that opinion,

works both ways too: I don't like the [insert relevant entity] deciding where I will be able to go, and I don't like it deciding who will able to come near to me

How does mass transit that other people willingly take limit your freedom?
-
Are there any government operated transit systems that don't rely on subsidies?

When I lived on San Diego, I could get pretty much anywhere I wanted on light rail. If I wanted to go to the North County, I needed heavy rail or a car, but I understand there's now a trolley line from Oceanside to Escondido, so that becomes pretty easy too.
