Congrats on the hard work. Been through this loop and it’s a big job. I’d back up your Metal findings. We went from GL struggling to run complex games to Metal allowing us to equal or out perform DirectX in some cases. Similar to Vulkan vs GL on Linux.

Thanks! FNA's GL path is already pretty dang optimized so there weren't many huge fps gains to be had (aside from a 100x improvement in immediate mode sprite batching!) but the reduced resource usage is definitely nice! Not to mention having actual debugging tools. ;)
