I want to drive into a rabbit hole of getting tropical fish and building a beautiful rainforest like tank but I know deep down this will turn into a huge obsession... shit.

What are your thoughts on getting a big tank and having it on old soft wood floor boards ? I’m worried it’s a bad idea and the floor will be damaged. Do you get much water everywhere ?

Yeah, that is a risk. The tanks full of water are very heavy too. You will spill water. 100% chance.
